On October 5, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to a suspected burglary in progress on Back Creek Rd. Upon arrival, deputies located an SUV parked in the backyard at the residence and a male in the driver's seat. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located. The burglary was unsubstantiated, however, King was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. No bond was given due to the Pre-Trial Integrity Act. A first appearance was set for October 6, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
