On October 14, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a local community baseball club of suspected embezzlement. Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division, charges were sought against Jesse Martin on August 10, 2023. The magistrate found probable cause for 1 count of Felony Embezzlement.
On August 11, 2023, Martin was taken into custody at the Randolph County Detention Center and served the warrant. The magistrate issued a $5,000 unsecured bond and a first appearance was set for August 14, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
