On July 25, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Parinna Dr., Trinity, in reference to a vehicle theft. Upon arrival, the victim reported being approached by Tommy Rodriguez Duncan, who asked him for a ride or to borrow his vehicle. The victim refused the requests. Later, when he woke up, the vehicle was missing. The victim advised that he had left the keys in the vehicle.
Shortly after entering the vehicle details, a notification was received that Davidson County had located the vehicle around 6:55 am with Duncan in the vehicle. Charges were sought against Duncan for felony larceny of a motor vehicle and Davidson County Detention Center was informed them of the open warrant. Duncan was served the warrant and issued a $5,000 secured bond and a court date was set for September 5, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
