On June 23, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on East Main St., Ramseur. Upon approach, the driver was identified as Cynthia Marie Flinchum, who informed the deputy of a concealed weapon. It was later determined that Flinchum did not possess a concealed handgun permit. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located. Flinchum was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed weapon. She was issued a $25,000 unsecured bond with a first appearance set for June 26, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
Flinchum was issued a citation for the registration violation.
