On June 28, 2023, probable cause was found for an additional charge on the incident for felony possession of schedule I controlled substance and a warrant was issued. Grace, still confined at the Detention Center, was served this warrant. She was issued an additional $5,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for June 30, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.

On June 23, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on US Hwy 311 near I-73 in Randleman. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, illegal narcotics and paraphernalia were located in the front passenger areas of the vehicle where Miranda Sue Grace had been seated and paraphernalia in the rear passenger area where Rufus Jerry Willis had been seated.
Willis was cited on citation for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Grace was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of cocaine, and two counts of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She was issued a $5,000 secured bond with a first appearance set for June 26, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
The driver was issued a citation for driving while license revoked.
