On May 31, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Bethel Lucas Rd., Asheboro, in reference to a report of someone yelling in the area. Upon arrival, deputies located Christopher Dylan Beane in an outbuilding and yelling. It was determined that Beane was under the influence of an unknown substance. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine was located in his possession. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the charge of felony possession of methamphetamine. The magistrate issued a $500 secure bond and set a first appearance for June 2, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
