On March 6, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Kennedy Farm Rd., Trinity. The driver was identified as Lucas Paige Laine whose driver’s license is revoked and registration was expired. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine, schedule IV and additional paraphernalia were located. Laine was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor driving while license revoked - impaired revoked, misdemeanor expired registration card/tag, misdemeanor reckless driving-wanton disregard, two counts misdemeanor simple possession schedule IV, expired/no inspection, and drive left of center. Laine was issued a $150,000 secure bond and a first appearance was set for March 7, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
