On October 7, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the area of Brookway Rd., Asheboro. The passenger was identified as Morgan Taylor Faulkner, who had an outstanding order for arrest for failure to appear. She was placed under arrest. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine and heroin were located. The driver, Tierra Lanier Thomas, was also arrested. Both were transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of felony possession of methamphetamines and felony possession of heroin for both subjects and driving while license revoked for Thomas.
Thomas's bond was set at $2,500 and Faulkner was also served with her order for arrest and her bond was set at $3,500 with a first appearance date set for October 7, 2022, in Randolph County District Court for both subjects.
