On October 8, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Finch Farm Rd., Trinity. Upon approach, the odor of marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. The driver was identified as Tyqunn Devon Hinson. During a subsequent search, the marijuana was located. Following the investigation, Hinson was release and advised charges would be forthcoming. He was issued a citation for other violations.
Charges were sought against Hinson for felony possession of marijuana and felony possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana. The magistrate found probable cause and issued a warrant for arrest.
On February 24, 2026, Hinson was located in Cabarrus County, arrested, and transported to the Cabarrus County Detention Center, where he was served his warrant. The magistrate issued no bond, and a court was set for March 2, 2026, in Randolph County District Court.
