On February 7, 2025, deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of indecent exposure at a local business. Following an investigation that included interviews, review of surveillance footage, and verification of evidence, Robert Vernon Lovette was identified as the suspect. The investigation concluded that the conduct did not constitute indecent exposure.
Deputies located Lovette at his residence. He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for the disseminatingobscenities charge. Lovette was also trespassed from the location where this incident occurred. Lovette was issued a $15,000 secured bond and is scheduled for a first court appearance on February 9, 2026, at the Randolph County Courthouse. The case remains active.
