On January 1, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Heathwood Dr., Trinity, in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, the assailant, who was identified as Michael Todd Mallory had left prior to law enforcement being called. Evidence was collected, and charges were sought for felony assault by strangulation and misdemeanor assault on a female. The magistrate found probable cause and issued a warrant for arrest.
Later, deputies located Mallory at his residence. During a search to arrest, an illegal substance and paraphernalia were located. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served his warrant for arrest and did not receive a bond.
The magistrate also found probable cause for additional charges of felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia and set a secure bond of $10,000. A first appearance was set for January 2, 2026, in Randolph County District Court.
