On October 19, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Richland Church Rd., Liberty, in reference to a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, the deputy met with the victim and gathered information.
Following the investigation, charges were sought against Kenneth Thomas Poe for felony Breaking and Entering with Intent to Terrorize and Misdemeanor Injury to Real Property. The magistrate found probable cause and issued a warrant for arrest.
On October 20, 2025, Poe was located and taken into custody after a brief altercation. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate determined there was probable cause for a misdemeanor charge of resisting a public officer. He was served his outstanding warrant. The magistrate issued a total secured bond of $14,000, and a first appearance was set for October 21, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
