On August 28, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Waynick Meadow Rd. and Toms Creek Rd. in reference to a firearm being discharged. While en route, deputies conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle. During the investigation, a magazine and a firearm were located.
The passenger, identified as David Mingkhouan, a convicted felon, was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was denied bond, and a first appearance was set for August 29, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
