On August 6, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to the NC Probation and Parole Office in Asheboro, in reference to an agency assist call. Probation advised that they had taken custody of a Troy Seay from an address on Cresent Dr., Asheboro, after conducting a warrantless search and located narcotics and paraphernalia on the male.
Charges were sought against Seay for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Following Probation’s investigation, they transported Seay to the Randolph County Detention Center.
Still confined at the Detention Center, he was served his warrant for the charges related to the illegal substances on August 19, 2025. He received a $20,000 secured bond, and a first appearance was scheduled for August 20, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
