On June 23, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Prospect Ct., Archdale, in reference to a larceny/theft that had already occurred.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, charges were sought against Charles Nathaniel Spivey, for felony larceny and felony possession of stolen goods/property and the magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant.
On July 18, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Finch Farm Rd., Trinity. The driver was identified as Spivey. He was placed under arrest. During a subsequent search, illegal substances and paraphernalia were located.
Spivey was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia. He was also served his outstanding warrant. He received no bond, and a first appearance was set for July 22, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
