On July 18, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on US Hwy 64, Asheboro. During the investigation, the passenger was identified as Brittani Nicole Hayes, who had two outstanding Orders for Arrest. She was placed under arrest. During a search to arrest, cocaine and paraphernalia were located. She was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and she was served her outstanding orders. She was held without bond due to being out on pre-trial release. A first appearance was scheduled for July 18, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
