On July 8, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the area of County Line Rd & NC HWY 62, Thomasville. A Thomasville Police Department K9 Unit responded to assist. During a subsequent search, illegal substances and paraphernalia were located. The driver, who was identified as Frank Vincent Patinella, was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was given a $15,000 secure bond and is set to appear in Randolph County District Court on July 9, 2025.
