On July 8, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Old Staley Rd and Shady Grove Church Rd regarding loud music. Upon arrival, deputies located a vehicle in the church parking lot playing music loudly. They made contact with a subject identified as Rodney Kyle Lopossay, who was standing outside the vehicle. While speaking with him, an illegal substance was observed. During a consensual search of the vehicle, additional substances and paraphernalia were found.
He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony maintain veh/dwell/place for a controlled substance, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule IV controlled substance, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine, felony possession of schedule I controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a $5,000 secured bond, and a first appearance is set for July 7, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
