On June 28, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Finch Farm Rd. at Welborn Rd. The driver was identified as Meagan Christine Morton. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located. She was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, drive/allow a motor vehicle with no registration plate, and no liability insurance. She was issued a $10,000 secured bond, and a first appearance was set for June 30, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
