On June 25, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Old US Hwy 64 East at the request of NC Probation and Parole due to locating an illegal substance and paraphernalia during a home search. Probation also advised that Brandi Nicole Hopkins was located hiding under the residence at the time they arrived on scene.
Probation Officers transported Hopkins to the Randolph County Detention Center, where she was served with an outstanding absconder warrant, which had a preset bond of $75,000.
The deputy sought charges against Hopkins, and the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of Schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She was issued a $10,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for June 26, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
