Following an investigation into an assault that occurred on April 29, 2025, at the Randolph County Detention Center, charges were sought against Martin Cridge, Jr., and the magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant for Felony Assault Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury. Still confined, he was served his warrant on May 16, 2025, and received a $20,000 secured bond and a court date of May 19, 2025, in Randolph County District Court. Cridge was then secured back in custody of Randolph County Detention Center without incident.
