On March 20, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received a report of fraud.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, charges were sought on James Christopher Burlamachi for felony obtaining property by false pretense and misdemeanor financial card fraud.
On April 2, 2025, the Criminal Apprehension Team located Burlamachi, arrested, and transported him to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served his outstanding warrant. The magistrate issued an unsecured bond of $1,000 and set a court date for April 21, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
