On March 18, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop at Sunset View Dr. & Uwharrie Rd., Archdale. During the investigation, the passenger was identified as Ricky Alan Crowe, who had an outstanding order for arrest for driving-related charges and was placed under arrest. When the driver, identified as Bryan Christopher Shell, exited the vehicle, paraphernalia was observed where he had been sitting. During a subsequent search, a firearm was also located.
Both were arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause, as follows:
Shell- felony possession of a firearm by felon and issued a $3,000 secured bond.
Crowe- misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also served his outstanding order for arrest and issued a $1,000 secured bond.
A first appearance for both was set for March 19, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
