On March 10, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Finch Farm Rd., Trinity. The driver was identified as William Allen Hamrick, who is a convicted felon and on active probation out of Davidson County for Involuntary Manslaughter. During the search, a firearm was located.
Hamrick was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of firearm by felon and misdemeanor carrying a concealed gun. He was issued a $2,000 secured bond for the felony and a written promise for the misdemeanor. A first appearance was set for March 11, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
