On February 19, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Old Mountain Rd., Trinity, in reference to a suspicious vehicle. During the investigation, it was determined that the passenger, Valarie Nicole Lowe, had outstanding processes out of Rockingham County, NC, and was placed under arrest.
During a subsequent search, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located. She was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also served her outstanding process and was given no bond on the new charges but was given a total of $100,000 for her failure to appear. A first appearance was set for February 21, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
