On January 17, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Hillsville Rd., Trinity, in reference to a business receiving counterfeit currency for payment.
Following the investigation, Adrienne Kayla Baxter was arrested on January 19, 2025, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony uttering forged instrument and felony obtain property by false pretenses. The magistrate issued a $5,000 secured bond, and a first appearance was set for January 21, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
