On January 13, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Old NC Hwy 49, Asheboro, in reference to a domestic issue at the business. Upon their arrival, deputies encountered both individuals who had been in a verbal dispute. Further investigation revealed that Jason Christopher Kendrick was a convicted felon. During a subsequent search, a firearm and paraphernalia were located. The firearm was identified as having been reported stolen out of Charlotte, NC, He was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of a stolen firearm, felony possession of firearm by felon, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a secured bond totaling $30,000 and a first appearance was set for January 14, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
