On January 8, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received a request from the Tennessee Department of Correction Office of Investigation and Conduct Apprehension and Enforcement Unit for assistance locating and apprehending Christopher Andrew Lee, a fugitive from Tennessee. They had obtained information that he may be in Randolph County. Lee was sentenced to six years on probation; however, he fled the state, and a warrant was issued for his arrest for the probation violation in July 2018.
The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Apprehension Team (CAT) apprehended Lee on January 9, 2025, on Huntingwood Rd., Ramseur. Lee was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for a Fugitive Order. Lee was issued a $200,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for January 10, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
