On November 13, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to US Hwy 64 E., Asheboro, in reference to a theft. While investigating the incident, Cody Lee Sexton was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine and issued a $5,000 unsecured bond. A court date was set for November 25, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
