On October 11, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to NC Hwy 62, Trinity, in reference to the larceny of a four-wheeler that had already occurred. A male individual came to look at a four-wheeler that was advertised for sale. Upon a test ride, he took off on the four-wheeler, and the car that dropped him out fled at the same time.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit, Detectives identified the male suspect as Demarco Antwion Jackson. On October 15, 2024, Detectives, along with the High Point Police Department, located Jackson at his residence, as well as the stolen four-wheeler. He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony larceny of a motor vehicle. The magistrate issued a $10,000 secure bond and a first appearance was set for October 16, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
