On August 30, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Stout Acres Rd, Ramseur, regarding a reported weapon offense at 390 Eastern Randolph Rd., Ramseur.
School officials reported that Curtis Alan Mace was seen on campus openly carrying a firearm when he was there to drop off a student for the football game.
Curtis was subsequently arrested at his residence and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony gun on educational property. Curtis was confined to the Detention Center with no bond and a first appearance was set for September 3, 2024, in Randolph County District Court. The firearm, magazine, and ammunition were seized for evidence.
