The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Registry Detective received information that registered sex offender Henry Lawrence Williams had been living in Randolph County for almost one year. Williams is currently registered in Guilford County and did not complete a change of address in Guilford County or register in Randolph County. This violates the sex offender guidelines set by NCGS. Both Counties sought charges on Williams for the violations and the magistrate found probable cause to issue the warrant for arrest.
On June 27, 2024, Williams was located and arrested in Guilford County where he was served the warrant and issued no bond. He was transferred to the Randolph County Detention Center.
On June 29, 2024, He was issued a $20,000 total secured bond and a court date was set for July 17, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
