On June 17, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on Harlow Rd., Archdale. During the investigation, deputies learned that the vehicle was not registered in the state of North Carolina and that the vehicle did not have liability insurance. The driver, Christian Elijah Kennedy, was issued a citation for (I) No Liability Insurance and misdemeanor driving while license revoked. While Kennedy was removing his belongings from the vehicle for towing, a deputy observed Kennedy in possession of illegal narcotics and was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of heroin and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and issued
a written promise to appear in Randolph County District Court on July 15, 2024.
