On January 8, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible fraud.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, charges were sought against Brandon Monroe Kinton for felony financial card theft, felony identity theft, and felony obtain property by false pretense and the magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant.
On June 5, 2024, the Criminal Apprehension Team located Kinton. He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served his warrant and issued a $20,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for June 7, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
