On May 10, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Apprehension Team located and arrested Gary Wayne Eldridge, who had an outstanding warrant out of Davidson County for felony discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling/moving vehicle. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center. During the booking process, Eldridge attempted to conceal an illegal substance he had in his possession. The magistrate found probable cause for charges of felony possession of cocaine, felony possession of a controlled substance in prison/jail, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a $20,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for May 13, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
Eldridge was also served with his outstanding warrant, received no bond, and issued a court date in Davidson County for May 16, 2024.
