On April 28, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Old Glenola Rd., Trinity, regarding vandalism. Upon arrival, for the second time this date in reference to Matthew Scott Woods being at the residence and attempting to gain entry into the residence, deputies located the glass front door almost completely off the house. Woods had also proceeded to slash the tires of a vehicle in the driveway with an unknown object. Charges were sought against Woods for felony break/enter to terrorize/injure and misdemeanor injury to personal property.
On April 29, 2024, Woods turned himself in at the magistrate's office where he was issued a $25,000 unsecured bond and a first appearance was set for April 30, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
