On April 23, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Whitt Hunt Rd., Pleasant Garden, in reference to a burglary. While enroute, Communications advised that the caller reported witnessing Jonathan Tyler Wilkerson breaking into an outbuilding, stealing a four-wheeler, and riding it away down the driveway before he ran into the ditch and fled on foot.
During the investigation, evidence was collected and damages were observed. Charges were sought against Wilkerson for felony breaking and entering, misdemeanor attempted larceny, and two counts of misdemeanor injury to personal property, and the magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant for arrest.
On April 25, 2024, Wilkerson was located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served the warrant and was issued a $3,000 secured bond at that time. A first appearance was set for April 26, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
