On April 21, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Barbara Ln., Trinity, in reference to a suspicious person on the property. Upon arrival, deputies located Timothy Rahine Saunders who was exhibiting behavior believed to be associated with an illegal substance. Saunders was detained for further investigation. During the investigation, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located in his possession. He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor resist, obstruct, and delay a public official. He was issued a $5,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for April 22, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
