On April 8, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office was advised by Randolph Communications that they had received a delayed confirmation that a vehicle they had been out with on April 4, 2024, was reported stolen out of Thomasville. Deputies began to canvass the same area looking for the stolen UHAUL. They located one on Old Thomasville Road in Archdale and upon investigation, Communications confirmed that it was the same vehicle reported stolen. A male, later identified as James Darren Ingram, was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle. He was issued a $15,000 secured bond and his first appearance was set for April 9, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
