On March 28, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice Unit concluded an investigation related to the distribution of narcotics in Randolph County. Detectives executed a search warrant at a residence located on NC Hwy 49 N. in Ramseur. Detectives located and seized marijuana, MDMA, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm.
As a result, Tavis Stanton Taylor was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of felony possession of a firearm by felon, felony possession schedule I controlled substance, misdemeanor possession drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor simple possession schedule VI controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession marijuana paraphernalia. He was issued a $35,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for April 1, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
