On January 11, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible sex offense upon a minor. Following an investigation of the allegations, Criminal Investigation Detectives sought charges against Jeremiah Alan Chaney for ten counts of felony first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
On March 18, 2024, Chaney was located, arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served the warrants. The magistrate issued a $75,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for March 19, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
