On March 13, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff's Office Vice and Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at a residence located on Kindley Farm Rd. Ext., in Asheboro. During the search, Detectives located and seized methamphetamine, marijuana, and US Currency. Also recovered at the scene was a backpack leaf blower that had been reported stolen. Christopher Vernon Allen and David Lynn Flinchum were placed under arrest.
Christopher Vernon Allen was transported to Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance, felony maintain vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance, misdemeanor simple possess schedule VI controlled substance, misdemeanor possession drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor possession of stolen goods. His bond was denied on these charges due to the pre-trial integrity act. His first appearance was scheduled for March 14, 2024, in Randolph County District Court. Allen was also served with two orders for arrest for failure to appear on felony and misdemeanor charges in which he received a $102,500 secured bond.
David Lynn Flinchum was transported to Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of felony possession schedule II and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He received a $1,000 secured bond with a first appearance scheduled for March 14, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
