On February 12, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff's Office responded to Walt Brown Rd., Bennett, in reference to a weapons offense.
During the investigation, it was discovered that Robert Henry Wiek, III, was a felon and should not have had a firearm. The weapon was seized, and further investigation was conducted.
Following the investigation, a charge was sought for felony possession of a firearm by a felon and the magistrate found probable cause to issue a criminal summons.
Wiek presented himself at the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office on February 26, 2024, and was served the process. His court date was set for February 27, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
