On December 19, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office reference to a larceny/theft of a firearm. Following the investigation, charges were sought against Shannon Harrell Summerlin for felony larceny of a firearm and felony possession of stolen firearm. The magistrate found probable cause and issued a warrant for arrest.
On January 2, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Apprehension Team apprehended Summerlin on Mendenhall Place, High Point, after attempting to hide inside a residence. She was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where she was served her warrant. She was issued a $10,000 unsecured bond and a first appearance was set for February 23, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
