On January 14, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Millboro Rd., Franklinville, in reference to the possible location of a vehicle that had been reported stolen.
Upon arrival, deputies located the vehicle with an occupant in the driver’s seat and requested he exit the vehicle. He was identified as Aaron Reed Archer. Following the investigation, Archer was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony larceny of motor vehicle and felony possession of stolen motor vehicle. Bond was denied due to committing the crimes while on pretrial release. He was placed on a 48-hour hold and a first appearance was set for January 14, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
The victims responded to collect the vehicle.
