On April 2, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Earnhardt Rd. in reference to a larceny that had already occurred. The victim provided a list of items that had been stolen and the name of a suspect.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, charges were sought against Robert Frank Strode on March 25, 2022, for felony larceny and misdemeanor possession of stolen goods/property. The magistrate found probable cause and issued a warrant for arrest.
On January 3, 2024, Strode was located and arrested during a traffic stop investigation on I-74 W. by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served the outstanding warrant and issued a $2,500 secured bond. A first appearance is set for January 5, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
