On January 3, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Welborn Rd. and Hopewell Church Rd., Trinity, in reference to a welfare check on a male subject walking into traffic. Upon arrival, the deputy located the male, identified as Brian Anthony Rosser. During the investigation, it was determined that Rosser had outstanding processes out of Guilford and Randolph Counties and was placed under arrest. During a subsequent search, cocaine and paraphernalia were located in his possession. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. No bond was issued for the new charges due to other pending charges. A first appearance was set for January 5, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
He was served the outstanding order for arrest for failure to appear out of Randolph County for a misdemeanor domestic violence protective order violation and issued a $20,000 preset secured bond with a first appearance set for January 22, 2024.
He was also served the warrant out of Guilford County for misdemeanor simple possession of schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia. No bond was issued and a first appearance was set for January 8, 2024, in Guilford County District Court.
He was served the order for arrest for failure to appear in Guilford County on charges of misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia, misdemeanor drive/allow motor vehicle no registration, misdemeanor no operator’s license, misdemeanor give/lend/borrow license plate, and possession of open container/consuming alcohol in passenger area. He was issued the preset $50 cash bond and a first appearance was set for January 12, 2024, in Guilford County District Court.
