On December 29, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Muddy Creek Rd., area of Archdale, regarding a suspicious vehicle in the area. While circulating the area, a vehicle matching the description was located and a traffic stop was conducted. The driver was identified as Brian William Spencer. While emptying his pockets, suspected methamphetamine was located. Charges were later sought on Spencer for felony possession of methamphetamine and the magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant.
On December 31, 2023, Spencer turned himself in to deputies. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate issued a $2,500 secured bond. A first appearance was set for January 2, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
