On October 4, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Riverside Rd., Seagrove, in reference to larceny. Upon arrival, the victim was able to provide photos of the suspect and vehicle that were captured on surveillance cameras. On October 19, 2023, after further investigation, detectives executed a search warrant at a residence located on Waddell’s Ferry Rd. Ext. in Seagrove, the residence of Tommy Colon Hussey and Richard Michael Hussey. Detectives located items that had been reported stolen, and also a firearm in the bedroom of Tommy Colon Hussey, who is a convicted felon.
Richard Michael Hussey was arrested and transported to Randolph County Detention Center for a civil order for arrest. Charges were later sought against Richard Michael Hussey for misdemeanor larceny and misdemeanor possession of stolen goods. He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center on November 9, 2023. He was served the warrant and issued a $10,000 secured bond with a first appearance set for November 13, 2023.
Charges were sought against Tommy Colon Hussey for two counts of felony possession of a firearm by felon and misdemeanor possession stolen goods/property. On November 19, 2023, Tommy Hussey was arrested and served the warrants and an outstanding order for arrest. The magistrate issued a $191,000 secured bond with a first appearance set for November 20, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
