On August 6, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to NC Hwy 22 N, Franklinville, in reference to serving an order for arrest for failure to appear in Randolph County Superior Court. Upon arrival, Brantley Joseph Norman was located and was found to be in possession of illegal substances. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center.
Due to a prearrest injury, Norman was released to a local medical facility for treatment and advised that additional charges would be forthcoming.
The magistrate found probable cause for felony possession schedule IV controlled substance, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony maintain vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession drug paraphernalia and a criminal summons was issued. On October 26, 2023, Norman was located while investigating another incident and arrested on an outstanding order for arrest. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served the criminal summons with a court date set for October 27, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
He was also served the outstanding order for arrest for felony failure to appear on felony, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a $10,000 secured bond and first appearance was set for October 27, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
